Duties
The following Mechanic responsibilities and duties must to be included in the job description:
- Examine the engine and any mechanical or electrical components of the car to ensure proper diagnosis.
- Examine the computer and electronic systems in your car to fix, maintain, and improve them.
- Perform regular maintenance on your car with the goal of extending its lifespan and functionality (changing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.).
- Plan upcoming maintenance and give drivers advice on how to utilize their cars safely.
- Fix problems and replace or repair damaged or malfunctioning elements (e.g. leaks)
- Give precise cost, time, and effort estimates for any repairs or maintenance that need to be done.
- Maintain work and issue logs.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order..
Qualification/Requirement:
- Proven Auto Mechanic experience.
- An equivalent qualification or a high school diploma.
- A trade school or vocational school offers the greatest certifications.
- Two years of experience is necessary, as well as exceptional problem-solving and detail-oriented skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Familiarity with a range of auto mechanics tools and techniques.
- It could be necessary to obtain further certification.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Physically strong and has good motor skills.
- Understanding of basic mathematics.
